Shearing Sheep at Charlotte's

We went to Christchurch for the weekend and visited Charlotte's place. Her host family has a sheep farm and they also make their own kayaks as a second business. When we got there we were walking to the barn and heard this hard core gangster music. As we walked through the door it was like entering another world. The host mom, dad and grandpa were hard at work sorting through piles and piles of wool. Right above that there were 3 Maori sheep shearers going to town shearing some very helpless sheep. It looked like some very hard work and we got to experience it ourselves. One of them offered to let me try it. Needless to say it's a lot harder than it looks!
